For most organizations the mobile app is the closest point of contact with either the customer or the field team. Which makes failure expensive: a user will not open a bad app twice, and a field crew will quietly boycott a slow one by going back to paper.
We have no stock answer to native versus cross-platform. Apps that lean hard on device hardware — camera, BLE, background location — want native; apps that carry a business process and must behave identically on both platforms are cheaper in Flutter or React Native. We put the decision, with its reasoning, in writing at the end of discovery.
For field apps, offline operation is our default design assumption. Connectivity drops in warehouses, on construction sites and at rural service points; the app has to hold data locally and sync without conflicts once the connection returns.
